Service Technician
Our business is booming at Tarr Hyundai, and we need to expand our service team to match this continued growth. We’re now hiring qualified gas and diesel technicians at all levels!
If you know the ins and outs of engines and other automotive systems, you’re welcome to put your skills to work at our service center. Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to identify necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Communicate additional service requests to a service advisor
- Perform quality repair and maintenance work on recalls, general maintenance, and diagnostics within book time rates and meeting dealership and manufacturer standards
- Provide an estimate of time and parts needed for repair/maintenance
- Learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions
- Keep shop neat and account for dealership-owned tools
- Other duties may be assigned according to skill level and certification
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of automotive repair experience
- Must be versatile in skills and tasks performed
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, A/C equipment, etc.
- Hyundai experience is a PLUS!
- Diesel experience is a PLUS!
